First the good news: Today’s workers are a happy bunch. In fact, 81% like their coworkers and enjoy their company. No doubt that’s due in part to all the technology that helps them stay connected.
The bad news? That same technology is distracting workers from staying productive. Our recent 2015 Workplace Communication and Culture Report found that for 47% of workers, their biggest problem with meetings are that people aren’t paying attention. And it’s no wonder: Our report also showed that nearly 5 texts, emails, and Snapchats are sent during a typical in-person meeting.
